Students witness court drama at Chester Crown Court
As part of enrichment and enhancement college activities, students on Adult Basic Skills courses at Riverside College had the opportunity to attend a day trip to Chester Crown Court on the 27th April.
During the day, students got to experience a real court case, and see both the prosecuted and witnesses provide evidence. They listened to both sides of the argument and started to draw their own conclusions based on the evidence heard.
Chelsey Murdoch, Skills for Life tutor, said “The session was extremely informative and the feedback from the students has been very positive. They learned a lot from the visit and it has given them a greater understanding of how the courts work.”
