Four talented Beauty, Media Makeup and Nails students from Riverside College are working hard in preparation for the WorldSkills UK finals at the NEC Birmingham later this month.
The students, who all placed in the top 3 of the regional competition and qualified for the national finals, are now working hard to plan their new designs after receiving the detailed brief for the finals.
Emma Littler will compete in the Media Makeup Final, Destiny Fryer competes in the Beauty Finals and Chloe Woolliscroft and Claire Swift take part in the Nails Final.
The prestigious competition will take place at the NEC arena in Birmingham on the 15th until the 17th November and the successful Riverside students will compete against the top 8 students in the country.
The students, with the help of extra practice sessions with their tutors are preparing to showcase their skills in the hope of winning a medal at the competition.
Lyn Rhodes, Head of the Centre of Excellence in Hair, Beauty, Nails and Media Makeup at Riverside College said, “The students all did extremely well in the regional competition earlier this year, we are delighted with their success and wish them the best of luck in the finals.”
