Riverside College Celebrate One World Week
Riverside College’s One World Week is here!
This week, we’ve been embracing the incredible cultural diversity of our ESOL students! Our students have been diving into various activities, embracing college life.
Our Scholars Restaurant has been transformed with dishes straight from the homelands of our learners! It’s been great to watch our ESOL students work alongside our Catering students preparing some delicious dishes.
Plus, our “Good As New For You” event was a hit, giving our ESOL learners a chance to pick up some new clothing donated by our generous staff.
Huge thanks to our Adult Skills team for putting together activities that promote skill-building and strengthen our sense of community!
Jenni Roe, Head of Pre Advanced Maths and English, said, “One World Week has been a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the different cultures and achievements of our ESOL students. The Adult Skills team have done a brilliant job of arranging and running activities that have allowed our students to try new skills and meet new people.
We hope this will be the first One World Week of many!”
