It’s National Apprenticeship Week! We are very excited for a brilliant week of events celebrating our fantastic apprentices and showcasing how important they are to companies in every industry.

Day 1
Meet Megan, a talented Engineering apprentice at Shearfab Ltd in Widnes.

Day 2
We hosted a brilliant Employers Breakfast Networking Event with Halton Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise. Apprentices at Riverside College took part in a ‘speed dating’ style discussion with many different major employers from around the UK.
Day 3
Meet Macy Dyer, a Business Admin and Customer Service Apprentice at Koura in Runcorn.
Hear how Macy has settled into her apprenticeship, learnt many new skills and how she is quickly progressing with the company.

Day 4
Riverside College honoured the achievements of their apprentices and the contributions of their partner employers at the annual Apprenticeship Awards Evening, part of the College’s National Apprenticeship Week 2020 celebrations.
Fifteen awards were presented on the evening by The Worshipful the Mayor of Halton Councillor Margaret Horabin to apprentices from a variety of industries. Special mention went to Bell Group who were awarded Employer of the Year for their outstanding commitment to both apprenticeships and Riverside College, and to Connor Watkinson, apprentice at MJ Gleeson PLC, who took home the Apprentice of the Year award.
