National Apprenticeship Week 2016
To Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2016, Riverside College will be releasing a series of videos over the week, including interviews with high profile employers and their apprentices.
Day 1
We start things off with Getrag Ford Transmissions. Simon Smith, Maintenance Manager, and Alan Seeley, Human Resources Manager, discuss the importance of apprenticeships to the company.

Day 2
For day 2, we speak with Jane Birch, Vocational Training & Skills Co-ordinator / NHS Apprenticeship Lead for Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Jane discusses the importance of apprenticeships to the company and the many different roles they offer.
Our Hair and Beauty students were also at Liverpool One for The Hub Liverpool Apprenticeships event. The students provided hair and beauty demonstrations on stage.

Day 3
Our Centre of Excellence in Catering and Hospitality staff and students were at at Liverpool One for The Hub Liverpool Apprenticeships event. Cookery demonstrations took place and delicious canapés were handed out at the event.
Day 4
For day four, John Houghton, Apprenticeships & Work Based Learning Manager at Everton Football Club, speaks with Riverside College about ‘Everton in the Community’, the club’s official charity.
We also speak with two apprentices from Everton FC, Connor Walsh & Karlie Lunt – Everton 4 Employment Apprentice Tutors.

Day 5
For day 5, we speak with Richard Munson, Community Director at Widnes Vikings & James Owen, Sports Apprentice. In this video, we hear about James’s role and responsibilities and how apprentices help the company.
