Colleges Raise Over £400 for Macmillan Coffee Morning
Staff and students at Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form came together to raise over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support at the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Both colleges hosted a successful Coffee Morning where they sold lots of fabulous, tasty bakes which were made and donated by staff and students.
Along with the cake sale, Riverside College held their annual ‘College Bake Off’, where staff and students baked delicious cakes with different flavours and designs to impress the panel of judges.
After a tough decision, Carol Walker, Health and Social Care Placement Officer, was crowned champion of the College Bake Off with her Macmillan design-inspired cake which looked and tasted amazing.
Cronton Sixth Form College also hosted ‘Cronto Bingo’ in which students were able to donate money for Macmillan and win some fun prizes.
If you would like to make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support, you can donate via the College JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/macmillancoffee22
Hannah Horgan, College Enrichment Officer, said, “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning this year. We raised over £400 and I’m very thankful to everyone who donated for this great cause.”
