Riverside College Students Impress Top Model Caprice at London Fashion Week
Media Makeup students at Riverside College were able to showcase their creative talents to an audience of global designers and celebrities, working on the hair and makeup for top models at London Fashion Week.
Students were tasked with preparing the models for the Kolchagov Barba pop art collection which incorporated vibrant colours and glamorous costumes by well-established Bulgarian designer Svetoslav Kolchagov and Italian marketeer Emilio Barba.
The highlight for the students was working on the hair and makeup for high profile model and celebrity Caprice Bourret. This was Caprice’s first catwalk appearance in over 10 years which made the event even more special.
Throughout the show, Caprice commented on the student’s professionalism and artistic skills, and later took to social media to comment “I loved meeting you all, you’re awesome!”
Gill Collings, Media Makeup Tutor at Riverside College said, “I was extremely impressed with the standard of work, they will be giving me a run for my money in a couple of years’ time! Our students were super confident and were able to perform tasks to a standard I would expect of a fully qualified makeup artist. Our students really enjoyed the event and we can’t wait for next year’s show.”
