Identical Success for Riverside College Apprentices
Twin brothers Joel and Lewis Green are celebrating a double success after both of them have managed to secure an Engineering Apprenticeship at well established engineering firms in Widnes with Riverside College.
After leaving school in 2013 the brothers began studying on a full time engineering course at Riverside College. Their determination and commitment paid off when they were recommended as excellent candidates for apprenticeships at both Fabfrifen and Shearfab by their tutors at the College earlier this year.
Following a two week work trial the brothers were snapped up by their employers who were so impressed by the skills and commitment they immediately offered Joel and Lewis an intermediate apprenticeship in Engineering, with potential to progress onto advanced level.
Joy Darcey, the boys mum is delighted and said, “I couldn’t wish for anything better, it’s beyond my wildest dreams, I can’t praise the boys and the college enough, they have been supported all the way through”.
Riverside College are committed to providing employment opportunities for young people through Apprenticeships.
