Riverside College achieves impressive results for teaching, support and assessment with National Student Survey 2024
Riverside College saw impressive results for teaching, support and assessment in the National Student Survey 2024 of higher education providers.
Students completing their courses were very positive in their feedback on their supportive, helpful and enthusiastic teachers. The college was also recognised for the one-to-one support that we offer and our inclusive approach to support students.
The college achieved fantastic results from questions that made up the teaching focussed theme to achieve a positivity rating of 96%. Questions asked included:
• How good are teaching staff at explaining things?
• How often do teaching staff make the subject engaging?
• How often is the course intellectually stimulating?
• How often does your course challenge you to achieve your best work?
Students also responded hugely positively in areas including how well their course has developed their skills they will need for the future, the ease of contacting teaching staff and were also very positive about the assessment and feedback they receive for their work.
Ryan Turner, Head of Higher Education at the College said, “I am really pleased that our Higher Education students were hugely positive in their feedback on how they were supported and had access to their teachers throughout their courses, while making sure our students’ views are at the forefront of developments to courses as we seek to continually improve the student experience on all of our Higher Education courses”.
