Foundation Degree Counselling Tutor

I joined Riverside College in December 2019 and am currently the Programme Area Leader for Counselling and Course Team Leader for FdSc Counselling.

I currently teach on the FdSc Counselling and BSc (Hons) Counselling but have previously taught on the Level 2 and Level 3 counselling courses.

External Experience

I am currently a practicing counsellor in a local high school. My previous role was as a Learning Mentor in a high school offering support to pupils who were facing difficulties, working closely with the safeguarding team and outside agencies.

Qualifications

  • In 2012 I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Sports Science and published paper Psychological, psychophysical, and ergogenic effects of music in swimming
  • In 2013, I began training to become a Counsellor and gained FdSc Counselling in 2018 all at Riverside College
  • In 2020, I gained my PGCE
