Celebrating the Success of Riverside College’s 2024 Higher Education Graduates

{Play} {Play}Riverside College recently hosted a memorable Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of its Higher Education students who graduated in 2024. The prestigious event, which took place at the Cronton Playhouse within Cronton Sixth Form College, was a momentous occasion for students, their families, and the college community.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished audience, including proud family members, friends, and staff, alongside special guests. These included The Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council, Steven Young, and The Mayor of Halton, Councillor Kevan Wainwright, accompanied by the Mayoress, Mrs. Andrea Wainwright. Together, they presented the graduates with their well-deserved certificates, marking a significant achievement in their academic journeys.

Special recognition was given to exceptional students during the event. The Higher Education Student of the Year awards were presented to outstanding individuals in various categories. Jenny Yarrow was named the Higher Education Student of the Year for Staffordshire University Programmes, Daniel Skae received the award for Higher Education Student of the Year for Pearson Programmes, and Stephen Smith was honoured as the Higher Education Student of the Year for Counselling. These awards were presented by Steven Young, Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council, in recognition of their dedication and excellence in their respective fields.

Ryan Turner, Head of Higher Education at Riverside College, shared his pride and joy at the event, stating, “It was fantastic to be able to celebrate the amazing achievements of our Higher Education students with their friends and families at this wonderful event. I am so proud of all of the students graduating this year, and they truly deserve it after the hard work they have put in throughout their studies to achieve their qualifications.”
