Introducing the NEW Hydrogen Training Centre

Riverside College proudly unveils its latest project towards sustainability and technological innovation: the Hydrogen Training Centre.

As part of Hydrogen Week 2024, the college has celebrated the new green energy training centre with a grand opening ceremony alongside the Worshipful the Mayor of Halton Councillor Val Hill and the Consort, Cllr. Stan Hill, VIP’s and industry specialists.

Thanks to the support from the Department of Education’s Strategic Development Fund, Riverside College has embarked on a transformative journey into the realm of hydrogen technology.

The Hydrogen Training Centre stands as a testament to our dedication to sustainable energy solutions. It serves as a hub for training and upskilling individuals within the Liverpool City Region, aligning their skills with the growing demands of the industry.

Empowering Through Education

Through targeted training programs and professional development opportunities, we ensure that our staff are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to lead in hydrogen technology education. This approach not only enhances the quality of education but also fosters expertise in a rapidly evolving field.

Industry Collaboration

At Riverside College, collaboration is key. We have partnered with industry leaders such as Cadent, United Living, Intergen, Jet, and local advanced manufacturing firms to shape our Hydrogen Project. Their expertise has been invaluable in designing our curriculum and facilities, ensuring that they align with the needs of the market. This collaboration has resulted in the creation of four new qualifications tailored to meet the specific demands of employers in the hydrogen sector.

Our hands-on approach to education ensures that students graduate with practical experience and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the hydrogen sector. By co-developing qualifications with employers, we guarantee that our graduates are ready to make meaningful contributions from day one.

• Renewable Energy & Sustainability with Carbon Capture
