What is this course about?
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to work as an electrician. On the course you will learn, develop and practice the skills required to succeed in this industry.
This level 3 course will develop further practical and theoretical electrical skills to enable progression to an apprenticeship in Electrical Installation or employment in electrical or affiliated industries.
You will cover compulsory aspects such as:

- Design, construct, test and commission electrical systems
- Methods of supervision
- Electrical science and principles
- Regulations and law
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults

Entry Requirements:
The entry requirements for the course are: achievement of Electrical Installation at Level 2 or equivalent (C&G 2330 Level 2 or C&G 2365 Level 2) and GCSE English and maths grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills maths and English Level 2 or achieving Level 2 on our English and maths college assessments. You will also be required to pass a specific maths test related to this course.

You can progress on to an apprenticeship in Electrical Installation or employment in electrical or affiliated industries
What will I learn on this course?
On this course you will learn how to work safely and competently in an electrical environment and develop the practical skills essential for employment in the industry.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a number of practical assessments during the year and undertake a final practical assessment at the end of the year. You will be expected to complete extended learning throughout the year in order to prepare for an end of year theory exam.
