What is this course about?
The Level 2 City & Guilds Award in 2D Computer Aided Design provides learners with comprehensive training on professional Computer Aided Design software. The course is designed for students with some experience in computers who want to increase their knowledge and skills. This qualification is designed for learners developing skills in 2D CAD and utilises AutoCAD software, part of the industry standard Autodesk design suite.
The course will be delivered in the IDEA Centre, our state-of-the-art Professional Engineering and Digital Built Environment Centre on the Cronton Sixth Form Campus. Students will have access to professional standard computer suites and software, as well as highly experienced tutors throughout their course.
The course will help you to gain digital skills to develop your career in manufacturing or engineering design.
Entry requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Some experience of using computers or design software would be beneficial.
What will this course lead on to?
This qualification will allow progression to further Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in a range of computer design applications.
What will I learn on this course?
The knowledge and practical tools required to develop industry standard skills in AutoCAD 2D design software.
