What is this course about?
The course will cover a detailed understanding of the following topics:
• Learn to use the tools and equipment associated with bench joinery
• Produce setting out details for bench joinery products
• Mark out from setting out details for bench joinery products
• Manufacture bench joinery products
As part of the course you will produce several pieces of practical work to be assessed that will demonstrate your ability and allow you to progress.

Our new purpose built workshops at the Kingsway Campus has been developed to accommodate all of the necessary facilities and equipment for you to achieve on this course.
Our team of lecturers and assessors are experienced in all types of Carpentry & Joinery and have a wealth of knowledge to pass on to our learners.

No formal qualifications
Are there any costs associated with this course?
Each learner will require a Riverside College, safety boots, writing equipment, and a ring binder with note paper.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is carried out on all practical tasks throughout the year. At the end of the course each learner has to show the knowledge they have gained through an end of year exam in order to achieve the full qualification.
