You must be aged 19+ and have completed a Level 2 qualification in Skin Care & Facial Massage or a Level 2 Beauty qualification (which must include the Facial Massage unit) to enrol on this course.

Course Overview/What is this course about?
This VTCT qualification is ideal for those with a level 2 beauty or skincare and facial massage qualification and are wishing to work in the thriving, fast growing skin rejuvenation industries. This qualification consists of units at level 2 and level 3 to provide you with the required underpinning knowledge and specialist skills to allow progression onto the advanced level aesthetic qualifications such as chemical peels, skin needling, and Intense Pulsed Light skin treatments

Entry Requirements:
You will need to have successfully completed the Level 2 qualification in Skin Care & Facial Massage or a Level 2 beauty qualification.
You will also be required to evidence English GCSE Grade C/4 OR Level 2 Functional Skills OR achieve Level 2 on our online English assessment. And maths GCSE grade D/3 or Level 1 qualification OR achieve level 1 on our online maths assessment. 

What will I learn on this course?
This course includes the following units.
• Skin Analysis and Facial Skincare
• Facial Massage and Skincare Treatments
• Anatomy, Physiology & Pathologies diseases, and disorders of the skin)
• Electrical Science
• Health & Safety

The college will offer the practical skills associated with the knowledge elements of the course including, non-surgical face lift, microdermabrasion, and galvanic facials.

How will I learn and be assessed?
Your theoretical understanding will be assessed through an externally marked written examination. There will be unit written tests to complete. You will be assessed throughout your course by practical observation. You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence.

*Please note: You may be required to attend an assessment day/evening if you are selected by the awarding body, external verifier – failure to attend could lead to your certificate being withheld until you are seen be the external verifier

Access to Aesthetic Skin Therapies
Progression onto advanced skin treatments including Microneedling, Skin Peels, Dermaplaning, Intense Light Pulsation Treatments and Radio Frequency.
