What is this course about?
The AAT Certificate in Accounting is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance.
The purpose of this qualification is to offer grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study. This qualification is suitable for adults returning to work after a break or for anyone wishing to change career.
What will I learn on this course?
You will study various aspects of accountancy to develop your skills and knowledge. The qualification comprises of the following four mandatory units:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
Entry Requirements?
You must have achieved GCSEs at grade C/4 or above or Level 2 equivalent qualification in English and maths.

In addition to the course fees you will also need to pay a Registration Fee directly to the AAT. This is currently £175 for Level 2. (Payable once you have started the course).

What will this qualification lead to?
Upon successful completion of this course, you may wish to progress onto further study by completing our Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. Alternatively, you may wish to seek out employment within entry-level accountancy roles.
