Christmas comes early at Riverside College for Open Evening
Christmas came early at Riverside College on the 19th of November, with a fantastic Christmas market at the College for Open Evening.
Lots of festive treats were available for free at the event, such as mince pies, cakes, biscuits and mulled drinks.
The open evening was a great success, with lots of prospective students coming to view the College from a wide range of schools. Visitors had the opportunity to speak with tutors and current students about the range of courses offered, and view the £5 million investment in new facilities, including the Engineering and Construction Skills Centre, Enrichment Centre, college restaurant, salons and learning centre.
Lyn Rhodes, Head of Kingsway Centre, said, “The open evening has been fantastic, with all staff going the extra mile to ensure prospective students and parents were fully informed of what Riverside College has to offer.
“A special mention goes to the Estates team, and the Foundation Studies team and their students for the work put into the estate and grounds around the Construction and Engineering Centre. I’d also like to thank the brilliant student ambassadors who helped on the night.”
