All of our latest vacancies are advertised here.
In order to apply for any of the vacancies on our website you will need to create an account on the find an apprenticeship service. You can also save any apprenticeships you like and then apply for them later.
When applying, make a note of the closing date of the application as this may give you a clue about when you will hear back. Do not rush your application. It is important to check your spelling and grammar to give you the best chance of being shortlisted for interview.
It may take a few applications or interviews to find the right apprenticeship, so if you are not successful on your first attempt do not become disheartened. Apprenticeships are competitive and we may receive many applications for one vacancy alone. We recommend that it is best to always have a plan B i.e enrol on a full time course until you find the right apprenticeship.
Finding your own apprenticeship
You do not have to wait until a vacancy becomes available on our website to apply. Many of our apprentices find their own Employer. If you have found an Employer who would like to employ you as an Apprentice – please contact the college on 0151 2572828 or email apprenticeships@riversidecollege.ac.uk to discuss the next steps.
Ways to find your own Employer can include:
School work experience: If you made a lasting impression they may want you to join their organisation on a more permanent basis.
Part time job/ voluntary work: Your part time job may have an opportunity available for you to become an apprentice in your chosen sector. It is always worth asking.
Family members and friends of Family: Tell Everyone you know that you are looking for an Apprenticeship. They may have opportunities where they work or know someone who can help.
Contact Employers: It is always worth asking Employers that you would like to work for if they have any opportunities. You can usually find their contact details online.
