Gain Real Work Experience
Apprenticeships are an exciting option – you will receive hands-on training and also the chance to put your skills into practice with ongoing support.
Earn whilst you learn
Your employer is responsible for you paying your wages as an apprentice. The pay rate can vary depending on the employer.
The National Minimum wage for an apprentice is currently £5.28 per hour. This is the minimum you will earn – many employers pay a lot more and offer their apprentices a competitive salary.
No Tuition Fees
Apprenticeships are funded from contributions made by the government and your employer. This means you will not have any student loans or tuition fees.
You will only need to cover the cost of your day-to-day expenses, such as lunch and travel.
If you are 16 to 24 and a care leaver, you’ll receive a £1,000 bursary payment to support you in the first year of your apprenticeship.
