Access Students are Making their Dream Career a Reality
Access students at Riverside College are close to realising their dream career after their university offers have been flooding in.
The hard working adult students, who have been studying at the College for the past year on an Access to Higher Education course, are hoping to qualify as Nurses, Teachers, Midwives and Social Workers amongst other professions over the next few years.
The students are now all looking forward to starting their university courses in September. One student, Haley Roach from Widnes said, “Before I started the course at College I was at home looking after my two children. I feared the unknown and worried how I would cope with juggling family life. I was reassured by my tutors at Riverside who have continued to be very supportive. I am now really excited about starting my Primary Teaching Degree at Liverpool John Moores and would love to be a Head Teacher of a Primary School in the future.”
Every student in Haley’s class has received an offer at their preferred university for this September and they are now all celebrating achieving this fantastic successes and a fresh new start to their careers.
