26th June 2014
On 25th June staff and students at Riverside College hosted an exciting event for a party of international visitors, when they welcomed a team of vocational tutors from Jiangsu Province, China, who were visiting the UK on a two week professional development programme.
The trip, which was organised in conjunction with the Jiangsu Department for Education, gave the College a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the highly successful vocational training it delivers to students of all ages.

The overseas guests were treated to an exciting presentation, featuring some of the past years student success stories, as well as taking part in specialist workshops about World Skills competitions, fashion and hospitality curriculums, after which, they had the opportunity to meet some of the College’s hospitality students.
The enthusiastic group completed their visit with a tour of the realistic working and vocational teaching facilities at Kingsway, including the new engineering and construction workshops.
They were very appreciative of the experience and felt that the visit provided them with a good understanding of how outstanding vocational skills are delivered in the UK.
