What is this course about?
Explore the issues, myths and misconceptions surrounding mental health and learn about the rights of people with mental health issues. Level 2 Mental Health in Mental Health Problems can be achieved.
What will I learn on this course?
You will learn what is meant by the terms mental health and mental ill-health, the possible causes of mental health difficulties, examples of mental health problems, the social and personal effects of mental ill-health, how mental health is reported in the media and the negative effects this can have on an individual and society, the rights of people with mental health issues and much more.

Your progress will be assessed throughout the course and you will complete a work book that will be assessed at the end of the course.
What are the Entry Requirements?
GCSE grade D/3 or above or Functional Skills Level 1 in English or achieving Level 1 on our college assessment.
