Riverside College’s Catering & Hospitality and Uniformed Services departments have been awarded the ‘Platinum Partnership Award’ in recognition of the strong relationship with the Royal Air Force.
The College was visited by Flight Lieutenant Ed Stephens, who presented the prestigious award at the Scholars Restaurant to staff and students. Flt Lt Ed Stephens, who has had over 14 years’ service with the RAF, spoke to students about the fantastic relationship between the College and RAF, and provided advice on RAF career opportunities.
The award recognises the past and present relationship between the RAF and the College, such as how the College promotes RAF opportunities to students and maintains links with former students who have now progressed to fantastic RAF careers.
College Principal Mary Murphy said: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award which recognises the close links and working partnership we have developed with the RAF. We look forward to continuing to work with the RAF, who has provided fantastic support and advice to many of our students over the years.”
